#3 KID's FIRST STEM & CODING Education

“In 15 years we'll be teaching programming just like reading and writing... and wondering why we didn't do it sooner."

What is

STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.

BLENDED LEARNING

What separates STEM from the traditional science and math education is the blended learning environment and showing students how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life. It teaches students computational thinking and focuses on the real world applications of problem solving. As mentioned before, STEM education begins while students are very young:

EARLY CHILDHOOD  — STEM education focuses on the introductory level STEM courses, as well as awareness of the STEM fields and occupations. This initial step provides standards-based structured inquiry-based and real world problem-based learning, connecting all four of the STEM subjects. The goal is to pique students' interest into them wanting to pursue the courses, not because they have to. There is also an emphasis placed on bridging in-school and out-of-school STEM learning opportunities.

Also, CODING is the new literacy! As parents, we understand the importance of learning languages at an early age. In the digital era, coding is the new language of technology every child should master. Whether or not your child aspires to be an engineer, early exposure to coding develops their logical problem-solving skills, unleashes their creativity, and empowers them to freely express themselves.

We collaborate with tech specialists from the region to implement Coding Curriculum for ages 3-6. The objective is to empower your child to become critical thinkers, problem solvers and be future ready through early exposure to coding, robotics, AI and more!   It is FUN and interactive, encoring students to freely express themselves and unleash their inner curiosity.

By embracing problem-based and theme-based learning, we develop your child’s core skills for today, tomorrow and beyond: Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, & Creativity. We include Coding into our school’s curriculum, it is a perfect blend of theories, group activities and exercises for children to unleash their inner curiosity and inspire thinking.  The subject focuses from Coding Fundamentals “Unplugged” Coding, Screen-less Programming, Block-based Programming, and Robotics, etc..  We start from using Cubetto, Cube Stackers, Robot Races to unplug and introduce the fundamentals of Coding to youngest students, Learning through FUN facts and experience.
